I came across the below quote today. It resonated with an event that dates back to December 2007 when I made a cool fool of myself!
In December 2007, I drove from Rajkot to Ahmedabad via my classic Honda City Car. While driving, the objects from the glass looked fuzzy.
I thought maybe the glass was unclean, so I cleaned the glass, but still, it looked unclear.
Then I thought the front glass might have become old so I must change it.
I came back to Rajkot, and I got the glass changed for ₹ 7500/-
The other day, I had to drive to Ahmedabad again. Even on that day, the objects looked fuzzy from the front glass!
I was wondering what was wrong. Then I realized if I had got any eye numbers.
I got my eyes examined the next day, and I got -2.25 numbers!
I got my first numbered glasses, and from then on, everything looked clear.
Note to self:
- When we face any adverse situation, we tend to believe that it is someone else’s fault, but most of the time, that’s not the case.
- When we are quick in execution, we may often pay the price for the lack of depth.
- It is better to question our actions (and non-actions) first and then anyone else.
