This is a waste of a tuition-free education. A good boss teaches you what to do. A bad boss teaches you what to never do. Pain is an excellent teacher. You will forget the praise of a good mentor, but you will never forget the humiliation of a bad one.
The Protocol: The Lab Rat Study
Stop reacting. Start observing. Treat your bad boss like a lab rat in an experiment. You are the scientist with the clipboard.
1. The Inversion Audit
Every time they make a mistake, write it down in your “Anti-Playbook.”

The Rule: “I will never yell at a subordinate for an error. I will ask about the system that caused it.”
2. The Emotional Sparring Partner
Use their toxicity to train your Stoicism. If they can make you angry, they own you.

The Prize: If you can handle a Tyrant with a smile, you can handle any client, investor, or crisis. They are your gym equipment.
3. The Expiration Date
You can learn from an Anti-Mentor for 12 months. After that, you must leave.

The Risk: Toxicity is radioactive. If you stay too long, you normalize the behavior. You start thinking, “This is just how business works.”
